How to sail...help please.

Hey I have another topic in the wrong forum sorry >.<;;

Anyway, The question is how do I quick sail to ports...or for that matter how do I sail to ports at all! I just left the starting port and now Im randomly sailing...so how do I nav to another port?!?
 
use the world map. i already told you about the commands menu which you can get by pressing enter. it contains the option to go to the world map. also, if you installed the directsail mod, you could sail to another port by just pointing your ship in the right direction (consult the map section in the F2 menu), if you're feeling adventurous and have a lot of time on your hands.

on the world map, sailing controls are more or less the same as in 3D sailing mode. press spacebar to go back to 3D. you'll see icons in the top left corner which indicate a situation you'll be in when you press spacebar. nothing means open sea. directsail won't work from any random point in the ocean: you need to start at an island.
 
Sail up alongside yer enemy then press F3 key when the grappling hook icon appears.

really, you asked that question three times already. once is enough.

boarding is tricky as hell though the first time you try it. compare it to trying to get in another car while both of them are moving.

With posting questions, I can assure you that posting just once will work just as well and posting it multiple times.
Might even work better, because people don't get annoyed. In this case though I don't really know what to make of it.

Uhhh I guess boarding a warship or whatever with my gun boat is a bad idea....My men and I died within the first 5 seconds.

biggest i managed with that was a pinnace. then, in the same battle, i got a galleon with it, and then a warship. that was one REALLY fast step-up.
