how to ransom captives

i keep wandering how i could ransom the captives/prisoners in every boarding. the text says they are in the cargo holds but checking, they are not.
tendency is they just slip from the ship and escape, specially if they already stayed long on board.

Which game version do you use? Build 13 Beta? When sailing, press "Enter" and go to your "Deck". There should be prisoners sitting on the floor there.

been using the beta series (5, 6 & 7). kind of "getting used to" the previous versions. figured out that those people on the deck are captives not crews. thanks anyway <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" />
