How to activate my chosen mod.

Two weeks ago I downloaded the Number 13 Build Mod. I have to say I was very impressed with the description and the amazing screenshots, but I was very disappointed when I downloaded it. The sky disappeared after I walked through a door, I couldn't talk to anyone, I couldn't start a new game and I didn't have a weapon. Neither did anyone else.

After thinking hard, I know that I am at fault, not you so therefore I must have missed something. Do I have to alter the code once downloading it?

P.S Is there anway to get my hands on the ranking mod and the new skins without having to download an entire build mod? Thank you in advance.

probably a corrupted download, since i haven't seen anything like this due to faulty installations.

As for my other question, is there a way to just download my chosen things or do I have to go with the whole build mod?

REALLY wouldn't be the person to ask. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" /> especially since my attention span has bee.. ooh, shiny!

Have you tried reinstalling as per the installation instructions yet?
It should work.
Anyway, if you want all the goodness, you do need the Build mod.
There's hardly any seperate mods available that work on the original game.
You can turn off most of the mods you don't like in the Build mod though. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

You dont have to be a modder to install the Build mod, it comes with an installer?!
Get the proper Build13_Final by clicking <a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net//index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=33" target="_blank">this</a> link and press download. Remember to let the program run "RunMe.bat" once the installation is finished - that all, really..

If you refer to the opening of the BuildSettings.h file, it really is pretty simple.
Just open the file with Notepad. There are instructions in the file on how to edit it.
Should be doable even for less advanced users. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
