Solved How do I get more than 4 ships?

im envious of Convoys in the game, they had like ten ships and i only got 4. i was fighting 8 US_SotL's while i only got 4 HMS Victory's

Short answer: No.

The game engine does not support more than 4 ships for the player. Still, you were in a battle involving 12 1st rates. Did your hardware handle it alright?
The most ships I have seen was 24 or so and my frame rate went into single digits at times.

gof mod had a mod (a mod for the mod) to have more ships (8 i think). It was vert buggy.

Modern Knight's Eras Mod will have many ships under your control. How many I do not know yet. 10?

I think the game engine might allow more ships, but ALL the interfaces would have to be adapted for it.
Far, far too much work.
