Historical Accuracy Mod for COAS - Need help with credits!

Neil Ross

Landlubber
Good day ladies and gentlemen!

I am a historian, working on a Historical Accuracy Mod for COAS. The mod is a factual, contextual, geographical and graphical overhaul of the base game. Most of the texturing work has been done by hand, by the author, but as I am no modeler, I have used several ship models from the Gentlemen of Fortune mod. I now only need to find which persons or entities to credit, or a confirmation from the mod team that crediting the mod as such would do, upon publication.

Namely, the models used are: "Sloop", "Nonsuch Ketch", "Castel Friedrichsburg Brig", "Derfflinger Fluyt", "Pinnace Berlin", "San Felipe" galleon, "Dutchlineship", "Warship1 - Dutch Warship", and "Soleil Royal".

I thank you for your time, and please note that it may take a while for me to respond due to a very busy schedule.
I've provided some in-game pictures of what the game now looks like, but it's just a scratch on the surface. I hope I've achieved a vanilla-style feel with just enough accuracy to have COAS as a 1660's simulator. Some things I do not know how to change, though.

"Nonsuch Ketch": appears in GoF as "Ketch1" and in PoTC:NH as "KetchNavy". The PoTC version of "Ships_init.c" credits it to Pgargon. GoF has three different textures, of which only one is used in PoTC, so I don't know who was responsible for the other two.

"Castel Friedrichsburg": PoTC:NH credits that to Rider88. Again GoF has three different textures but this time PoTC does use all three for Spanish, Dutch and French variants.

"Derfflinger Fluyt": PoTC credits this one to pgargon. Like "Castell Friedrichsburg", GoF has three textures and PoTC uses them for Dutch, French and Spanish variants.

"Pinnace Berlin": not sure about this one. PoTC has something which looks similar but which has some parts arranged differently and has different textures. The PoTC version is credited to Pgargon.

"San Felipe": I'm not sure which ship you mean here. On the left is "Felipe1" which I found in GoF. PoTC has that but calls it "Apostól Felipe" and credits it to PGargon. But PoTC also has "SanFelipe", on the right, which I do not see in GoF. However, that one is also credited to PGargon.

"Dutchlineship": PoTC calls it "NL_ConvoiShip" and credits it to Yo Ho Ho.

"Warship1 - Dutch Warship" and "Soleil Royal" - I can't see these in my version of GoF. There's "SoleyRu", which looks like a retexture of the stock "Manowar". PoTC does have "Soleil Royal":

That one is credited to Red10october, with additional work by Armada. (And I did a bit more work on the rigging of the PoTC version, but that won't be in GoF.)

Your aid has been priceless, good sir, and you have my gratitude. I believe you've found them all. I'll make preparations to publish the mod, and post links on the Forum. I'm not an expert on forum etiquette, so if you'd give some counsel as to how that should work around here, we can get get it going properly asap.
