Okay...
Why is it that on occasions my reputation changed from "matey" to "neutral" ... then it changed form that to "horror of the high seas" !! On the last occasion this happened after I sunk three small pirate ships. Surely that should raise it? Right?

I've been trying to play the "good guy" role in the game. But it's just not going my way, any help/ideas? And has anybody else had this problem?

Hmmm.... could be a number of things. Are you playing stock POTC or with Build 12?

First thoughts are.....

Did you sink any of these ships (with cannon fire) after they had struck their colours? That can result in a blow to your reputation.

Do you have any outstanding debts with any loansharks that were not repaid within the required time?

Have you been paying your crew?

if you paying the stock game throw money at a preist and that will up your reputation. if playing the build mod rescue ddrowning seamen, save the virtue of maidens in the jungles and talk to everyone in taverns. when their purses are about to fall out tell me about it

Ah well, I'm playing the stock game. I just gave alot of money to the church. It might have been the loansharks thing.... thanks anyway. Its all groovy now though, im a Hero! Heh heh.
