Help for starters

Hello I'm new to this community and just got my copy of Pirates of the Caribbean gam, I also downloaded the Build 14 Alpha 9.5 Patch 2.

Now I really don't understand how to play the game, I kind of found out how to move and interact by checking controls, then finished the things I needed to do at Oxbay. Then I kind of went out to sea, but I have no idea what to do next <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> Where can I find this port.... uhm, Redmond, also I have no idea how to battle at sea or do other stuff around sea.

Can you guys help me out or something, because this game seems to lack a tutorial.

The official game release has a tutorial, the modpack has an ingame tutorial if you start the standard storyline;
just listen to what Malcolm has to say. We have yet to make a proper Build tutorial, but there's a lot of info in the buildinfo folder.

Thanks for helping, now I have to get into Spreightstown to spy on the French, but I can't seem to get past those guards everytime I have to fiht them and I just die in 2-3 hits, there's no chance. I tried running away and then shooting them, managed to kill one of them, but the other one just gets me every time. Can anyone help with this?

Also the Malcolm at the beginning helped quite a lot, thanks for adding it to the Build mod.

You know how to block (Left Ctrl) and dodge (Z-key)? That helps. Also try and buy yourself a good blade with high block values.
You can hire officers to help you with fights too. With some practice, you should easily be able to deal with two guards though.

I guess I should practice a bit on my crewmates. Also how can I get my officer to fight, I just enlisted Rhy Bloom to my ship as a First Mate, how can I get him to come with me on the island?

F2>Passengers interface; click one of the three emtpy spots, then click Rys.
Be careful with that guy though; he tends to be quick to die in a fight. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
