Just a few days ago @William informed of an email by Guy-Roger Duvert an experienced French music composer who has previously worked on the Cannes nominated movies.
The reason being is that Guy has recently released a new score specifically based on pirate movies.

From inns to battles at sea, from Aztec temples deep in the jungle to sword fighting in Spanish harbors, an album of orchestral scores that brings you to a world of piracy in the Caribbean. Â

I have had a listen to this work and it's definitely for the movies with a range of different styles and pace, most would be suited to battle scenes. At the very least you can listen to this for free at CD Baby and if you like it grab it for $9.00 (MP3 version). Like anyone else making an effort in this small niche genre it would be a shame if his efforts went unnoticed, if you want to read up a bit about Guy while your listening to his music or find some of his other work visit his website HERE
Plus, Guy is a pirate fan
