My first step in constructing the <i>HMS Victory</i> - making more detailed cannons:

I must say, with proper shadows their textures look pretty nice to me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

One cannon is for all those gunports below main deck, while other is for cannons on the main deck.

Now, there's this thing I wanted to ask you - <i>Victory</i> has those two carronades on the deck - should I include them as well? Were they even included in the initial armament?

If you're looking for info on the HMS Victory's armnament, and how it was changed over the years from it's initial ordinance in 1765 leading up to it's configuration at Trafalgar in 1805, I have just the site for you!!

if i remember correctly, HMS Victory had 104 guns armed at the battle of Trafalgar. i'm going to check the site and see, but i clearly remember it being armed with 104 guns.....maybe make it 114-116 for the chase guns. 8-10 on the stern, and 2 on the bow?
 
Right you are, Lord Nelson - 104 at Trafalgar.

30 on the lower gun deck (32 pounders)
28 on the middle gun deck (24 pounders)
30 on the upper gun deck (12 pounders)
12 on the quarter deck (12 pounders - short)
and 4 on the forecastle (2 x 12 pounders plus 2 big carronades)

lol...remember that Kazeite has a habit of uploading ships onto the FTP. short of banning me, there's no way you can stop me from getting it, and i doubt the admins would take a funny comment about sinking the Amsterdam with HMS Victory as a valid reason to ban me. i'll download the ships off of the FTP as they're uploaded...

and true, i do have an evil side. i'm sinkin' the Amsterdam because of the country i serve though.....not because i dont like the Dutch. in fact, i go there for the best merchandise. Spain for crew, England for ships, Holland for cargo, France for personal gear, portugal for the missions.....well, most of 'em...<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />

Beautifull guns and beautifull idea. I'm all for new kinds of ships and well, maybe it's because I played pokemon on my GBC when I was kid but I have a thing when I play this game... it's a voice saying "Gotta catch them all!!" Really I'm trying to capture every kind of ship this game has to offer so to make a collection (I hope there are enough berthe spots to harbour my collection <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />)

no seriously, take your time Kazeite. the more time you put into it, the better it'll look when it's finally released. now, who thinks we should replace Silehard's MOW with HMS Victory? to make it one of a kind. and maybe have VICTORY written on the stern, like a plaque. people told me it was impossible, but i'm having second thoughts about that. i mean, how'd the Bermuda Sloops get the names written on the stern?
and 2 cannons would probably work for me anyway. just use the ship's weight against the targets, and god mode, and everything would go smoothly <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/jackhat.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":j2" border="0" alt="jackhat.gif" />
