To anyone I can recommend this fairly oung YouTube channel about the golden age of piracy - biographies, history, customs culture and curiosities, this guy does very entertaining and informative videos.

He even uses some music and sound effects from PotC NH in the background. Don't know if that's by accident because I don't know what the original source of those is.
