God Mode + RunME.bat

Hi Guys - I missed you.
Did you miss all my newbie questions :)

Thanks to all who worked on Build13 !!!

I re-installed POTC.
Ran Build13 mod.exe
Ran RunMe.bat - says 2 files are missing
*PROGRAM\DIALOGS\*.h
*RESOURCE\INI\TEXTS\common.ini

Is that normal to be missing those files ?
If not, how do I fix the problem.

Now about God Mode.
Just started and ol' Malcolm carved me up like a Thanksgiving "turkey".
I noticed my health bar going down. I'm not sure if it moved in 12.1 when I was able to use God Mode ?
I looked at BuildSetings.h, is the define DEATHRATE mod where I can implement god mode ? It already is set at "1". Do I change it ?

I also see a mod called ENABLE_CHEATMODE. I'm guessing I put "1" there ?
Or do I leave it at "0".
It says I can use the NUMPAD buttons to trigger cheats.
What number is what cheat ?

Regarding Cheat Modes. Change ENABLE-CHEATMODE to 1. Activates the cheats, which are as follows: Using the number pad, 0-God mode, 6-Increases your money by 100000 and wealth by 1000, Skill gives you 50 free points to assign, 4-Level up your character, 5-Fake level up, gives you SP, perk points, and HP but does not actually change the level, 7-Reputation levels, 9-starts French invasion. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Don't know if any have changed with current mod. Hope this helps a little.

Cheat mode is still in ? I thought it was gone when you moved the build file outside the folder or something...

all this time I been breaking my.....%$%%$$#$5 and I could have leveled my officers with the 1-2-3- button?

Instead of dying like dogs ????

Had to rest(.. physically disabled), but got up early to start POTC !

It look like a whole new game.
Wow, I'm sure I'll be up too late tonight :)
Guess that's why they make pain medication.

Will need God Mode till I find a better sword and hire some crew members who can fight :)
I tried the Block/Dodge and Attack ... I just don't have the manual dexterity = I do die well

... well I put "1" in ENABLE_CHEATMODE
Hit numpad "0" during the game.

I'm still taking damage in fights ?
At least I haven't died; yet :)
 
If your using version 13 final or 13.1 ..the build settings are OUTSIDE the program file in the OTHER Build settings .h ...the one INSIDE program files doesnt work.

You will know if you have God mode if you see the " god mode" message .

That is not a problem. RunMe.bat is trying to remove these files anyway, because they're not required. If the files aren't there, it doesn't need to remove them either.

Be sure to set ENABLE_CHEATMODE to 1 in the BuildSettings.h file in the MAIN PotC folder. NOT in the PROGRAM folder!

Numpad 0 = Godmode
Numpad 1 = Officer 1 Fake Level-Up
Numpad 2 = Officer 2 Fake Level-Up
Numpad 3 = Officer 3 Fake Level-Up
Numpad 4 = Player Level-Up
Numpad 5 = Player Fake Level Up
Numpad 6 = + 100000 Gold and + 10000 Wealth
Numpad 7 = Cycle through reputations (increase/decrease reputation)
Numpad 9 = Trigger enemy attack (cheatmode not required)
 
No "god mode" message.
I tried adding $; didn't work either.

I'm assuming you mean the BuildSettings.h file ... by Main Folder; I'm assuming inside the POTC folder
There is a BuildSetting.h file /h file / 14kb ... located under the Program Folder; That is the one I changed ?
Inside the Program folder is BuildSettings.c; I didn't go inside that file.

I just started and I'm guesing I'm on the easiest level ?
Does god mode work on this level ?

I gave myself $ using the "starting options for a new game".
So, I purchased a good sword = or I'd be dead by now :)
But, I know the bad guys will eventually catch up with me in terms of equipment, so I'll need god mode later.

I'm assuming this last define ENABLE_CHEATMODE is the line you mean ?
Am I missing something = would not be the first time :)

Go to the Main POTC Folder, click BuildSettingsH File as highlighted in the ss.

Scroll down to #define ENABLE_CHEATMODE & change it from 0 to 1

Then click SAVE.

When you are in game make sure you have the Num Lock button on your Keyboard activated so that the Cheats work, otherwise the Cheats won't work.

Glad you figured it out. I forgot that it is required to have Numlock on. Call me a moron as well. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />
