HI all,

Recently decided to come back to playing POTC but I am not able to find one single location on the entire internet where I can download any current mods.

Even here at Pirates Ahoy I get a message constantly that says things are down for maintenance... and that is after days of getting a message that the domain is no longer active..

So what gives? What is the latest? And where can I download the latest mods??? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

I am in exactly the same position! I too wanted to come back and play POTC and downloading build 12.1 seemed like the way to go but keep getting this "we're down for maintenance - back shortly" message. Its now been 3 days - shortly in my book means less than 1 hour! Can anyone tell Malakie and myself where we can get build 12.1.

Have you tried under Pieter Boelen's signature. Click on Pieters Pirate page, then click on downloads. Everything should be there. Hope this helps.

Forget this. Just checked it myself and it is not working. Should have checked it before posting. Guess you will have to wait until the main site is fixed.
 
Yeah, we're still getting over our issues of virus's.

All the files are still around, it will be back up soon <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

In this case I think you got the wrong book or only bad manners. Back shortly means it's back when maintenance is done. It take some time to clean up the whole data bank I think. After the virus attack all files have to be checked properly.
And when this "back shortly" means back within one week then you have to wait till it is up again.

Point number 1 - I dont understand what you mean by wrong book. This is a website as far as I can tell.
Point number 2 - Back shortly DOES NOT mean back within 1 week. It does however build false expectations. Having an ETA like say 28 May would be far more helpful.
Point number 3 - Dont get me wrong I am extremely grateful for the fact this site exists and teh work that has gone into the latest build

The problem with the main site is that both the main site and this forum were infected with a virus last weekend. The forum was fixed in a few days, but apparently the main site is much harder to fix. To prevent people from getting infected by the site, William has removed the main site until he manages to make it virus-free again. I don't know how long it will take, but I do know he is working on it. In the meantime, I am going to put all downloads on <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.org" target="_blank">my site</a>, so everything remains accessible. This will be done within a couple of hours; I am uploading right now. Unfortunately, it's going rather slow... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
