Hi,

I installed "build12" but I almost had a heart-attack when I saw that all the text was in english. If this game is english-only, then you should tell it on the download page, because I would have not downloaded it.

If miracles are possible, and that this mod is available with french text, please tell me how I can enable it.

I'm sorry, the mod does work on other language versions, but it will translate the entire game into English. If you want it in another language, you'd have to manually translate it yourself. Fortunately, with our mod you <i>can</i> manually translate everything (unlike with a certain Russian mod <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> ).

Judging by your post, your English is good enough to be able to play this game in English though. I can heartily recommend doing so; it will improve the game a very big lot indeed.

sorry for answering in an old topic.

I'm from Germany, I found your really good MOD but one point ist bad, most of the dialogs are in english. Ok, I understand the most points but in this topic I read, that I can translate it on my own. Can anyone tell me, where the data for the dialogs is saved? I know about the PROGRAM\DIALOGS folder, but there is a subfolder "german" with the original german translation for the dialogs. I can't find the new dialogs from the MOD. Can you help me please?

Are you using Build 12.1 or the Pre Build 13 modpack?
In Build 12.1: Dialog files are in the PROGRAM\DIALOGS folder. The files you need are the .h files.
In Pre Build 13: The files are in PROGRAM\DIALOGS\ENGLISH

The Pre Build 13 modpack can also be set to Russian language. No French or German though.

Note: There have been made changes and additions to the dialogs in the modpacks, so you can't just take your old French/German files and let them overwrite the Build's files, because texts will be missing. And all newly added dialogs will remain English.

In general, the only language in which the Build is fully supported is English. If you want to translate it, feel free to do so. I would be quite happy to tell you which files you will need to change. If you have a working translation done, I would also be happy to upload it somewhere as a language pack which French/German players could use. But we are not going to make the translation ourselves. I have started to translate the first file and it takes up to two hours for understanding, what whe context says and translating. I don't know how much time it will take for the others because I count over 600 files ... thats a huge number and if I have understand your answer right, an update will overwrite the structure of the files. So I could translate again. I think, that ist too much work for me.

Un update would overwrite all files, yes. Unless you use WinMerge to install the update. That is a program that shows you all the differences between two codebases, so you can add only the changes into your codebase, but keep your translated text. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I can imagine that translating the entire game is a lot of work. It's a lot of text, after all. I suppose you can copy/paste some of the stock game's text though. You seem to be pretty good at English, so you should be able to understand what the English text says.
