Does time change on Land

I can't see a darn thing at night, and I'm stuck in the jungle of Oxbay. If I just stand there will it eventually be day time? Please help!

Ummm, no, not if you stand still. You have to reload to a different portal for the time to change and the sun to start coming up. I suggest you either get back to your ship and board it and go to sea and wait for the time of day to change (if you are moored on one of the beaches), or go into the game settings and turn up the brightness of your monitor a bit until you are able to see where you're going.

This game can be quite dark (especially at night with no moon!)...

Are you playing with Build 11.0? Or is your game stock (unmodified)?

I can't find any option on the game menu to brighten it up. Is that an option that's available from some of the mods? Thanks for responding!

The "Video Settings" are in the "Options" menu in the first screen that comes up when you load PotC. You will be able to adjust brightness there.

From within the game, it is the F1 menu. Select "Options" and then "Video Settings".

I don't have a "video" option, just Sound, Sailing Mode and Controls. Is there a patch or mod or something that gives you this option? Sorry to keep bugging you but this sucks! I'm as blind as a bat!
