Dividing Plunder

If your playing as a privateer and have "signed articles" to pay the crew plunder when is the best time to do this?

Everytime you have docked and sold all goods,ships and made repairs etc?

Only every now and then when morale is low?

Also should I divide the plunder with the remaining crew after a patrol or after I've hired replacement crew from the tavern?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well I pay them salaries as well , <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> those salty dogs are not even worth the rum and wheat they eat . I do all the planing and steering while they just execute the ordrs . I think they should pay me because I took them as crew member in my ship otherwise their miserable life would end in the high seas feeding sharks <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" /> .

Before I got interrupted by "real life" and had to stop, I was playing PotC (build 11) at Swashbuckler and going through officers like candy... It got so I'd buy an officer (if he was good in melee), put him into my boarding party, load him up on potions and hope he'd survive, then I'd dive into a boarding... Die die die... Well... SO I'd go get some more officers! Hey... They were guarding my back so *I* survived the boarding! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

to answer your question about divide the plunder, me personally i wait untill their morale is really low, then you sell off everything, repair your ship and keep the guns you have on it though, also i usually fire some of the crew because if there are less crew then the remaining crew gets higher shares and is happy, the best place to divide the plunder is quebradas costalas as they are more lickely to have a higher morale when you start off again. also what you can do is change the difficulty level to a higher one right before you divide it up and then when you are done dividing change it back to what you had it so that you get a bigger piece of the pie. i get the feeling like im leaving something out and i probably am but that just what i do, take it for what its worth. and have fun!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
