hmm i don't know what's going on, it says the mod is activated, yet I keep sailing through my targeted island, like I just tried to sail from guataloupe to Falaise De Fleur wich isn't very difficult, and after a long time of sailing I was beginning to wonder what was taking so long, so I went to map and I was south and west of oxbay meaning I sailed directly through Falaise without it ever registering. now before it was working in my game but 70% of the time I got the land ho screen the game would CTD now it's not working at all.


anyone know how to fix this?
 
Do you get the hourly wheatherchanges? And the "Sail ho" screens or the floating goodies?

Could you post your compile.log file?

yeah I got weather changes and sail hos and yo hos and dirty hos just no land hos >.<

i've had that too, but only once. i ended up three islands further than i intended. i was sailing for QC, but nearly ended up at antigua. i had sailed right through the islands.

i think the crashes (during boarding) are cuased because you may not yet have the boarding fix for your build version. just happened to come to mind.

well, i don't know where, but i do know that it was made by guillooto. i believe it's also included in build 14 alpha 6 additional, but i think it would be a better idea to install it seperatly. i had it myself, but not anymore. maybe someone else still has it. nosie would be a good bet.
 
is nosie the guy that had that mod that made the navigation lanterns on teh backs of the ships glow at night? cause that was pretty sweet
 
never seen that one. must be for AOP. i think he did that before my time here.

That is the Black Pearl done by Thomas the Terror for AOP.
The Ship is in POTC as well, but without the Lights. We talked about
that previous and Pieter said that the Lights can not be made to work
in POTC.
I only took the pic. out of my signature as I have the habit to change that
quite often. the one I use at the moment is from Pirate Simulator an
upcoming game by CyberOps.

I'm curently flipping out right now though, all day today, I have captured only a single ship. why? because I keep getting the f*cking boarding bug. btw the land ho thing is working, but now i'm having the boarding issue again I just took on three ships, captured two boarded the third and got the bug. it's like, why the f*ck am I still playing? someone give me the damn fix please before I go outside and randomly shoot pedestrians as my means of ventelation. =D

No need to get violent! I checked all my disks and  that file is nowhere to be found.

-takes somes prisoners out of his hold and ties em to barrels and then tosses the barrels over the side iwth a rope attached to em and lets them drift a ways back behind the ship while he takes pot shots at em with his musketoon >_<
 
okies just spent hours, literaloy hours searching for prey, found em, boarded em. adn the bug happened again. soeone for god's sake give me the damn fix before I just uninstall this game once and for all.
 
you forgot to fill them with gunpowder. anyway, you know that the bug will appear, so why are you still boarding, expecting that it has suddenly dissapeared? why not PM guillooto?
 
because boarding is the only way to take the ship and pay my crew =P atm I've just given up sailing around trying to visually locate prey realistically, I've just been doing the sail to thingy makes things a lot quicker and if it bugs ya only lose a few minutes of play time, but it takes out all the fun of locating them and then maneuvering for the most advantagous position to attack and such. oh well.
 
hmm...have a go at smuggling or treasure hunting. that should give you plenty of cash to go around. in your case, i'd go for smuggling, as you need little money to start with AND it might even give you ships, but if your luck is high enough, you'd probably avoid the latter. mahogany is the best smuggling good. percentage-wise, that is. ebony makes a bigger profit, but the percentage of the money initially needed to buy the stuff is higher than that of mahogany. especially when you pick an island where they export it.
