Custom sails?

Where do I purchase custom sails from? I've been all over, examined every nook and cranny, and still have found no place to buy custom sails. Please help.

Also, how do I add my own custom sails to the game? I read in Buildsettings.h about being able to do it, but I think it went over my head.

You need a level 4 ship at least ( i think its l4 ) and you get it at the shipwright, its an option when your talking to him <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Hmmm... well, I have a Xebec CT which is a l3 ship, I believe. I also have three Manowar in my fleet and they are l1. I've never seen an option from the shipwright to buy sails, and I looked. I'll experiment I guess and make one of the Manowar my flagship and see what happens. Thanks for the response at least.

Hey there. You actually dont purchase sails at all. You hit F2 and look for the change sails option and there you go. HTH!

I figured it out finally. It's just my flagship has never been big enough for me to get access to them. So I just made one of my MOWs a flagship, chose the sails I wanted, and then made my Xebec the flagship once more. Granted, my Xebec doesn't have the custom sails, but my two MOWs do and that's good enough for me.

I have a complaint about the Xebec, why do the sails never seem to change colours. I mean if you encounter a bunch of pirate ships they all have black sails except the Xebec, it has bright white striped ones! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

The Xebec BR has striped sails that are part of the design and are not meant to be changed.

You can change regular Xebec sails to black... They just do not have the logos because they are not `square-rigged`. All the larger `square-rigged` ships can have logo sails. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Yeah, I have my Xebec CT with black sails. Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly evil, I'll hoist the red ones.

Done by Duke Surak'nar, and I agree an excellent job.
You can comment out the emblemed sail line on the Xebec BR define in ships_init.c if you want it to behave normally though.
