If they'll do that, they can use my black textures or send me models and I'll make black ones for those...

For now, I do as you said, forget about that, but I hope you won't do that and try to advance with someones other help...

P.S. If you'll find someone to edit texture maps for deckLowVSBig, you also could ask for deckMediumVSBig...

I have:
1: Make as normal decks. Even if we have only one black ship, it, I think, deserve to have black decks, especially when they are already made...

2: Ship wreckage on beach (how many we have in different Islands?) If you enter them, you might explore entire ship throe black decks and cargo holds and etc... it could be another dungeon, only in different look...

I Like the second Idea... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

And another Idea of alternate city. I meen abandoned city... In some island, which is new one city norma and another is abandoned. I meen tavern, shipyard, everything is, but no people and "black/bad/old textures". At night you can fight skeletons/mummies/satanists/other and might be find something at random...

Or with some skeletons as normal tavern/shipyard/store keeper, some good recolor of skeleton as a governor and make cursed city, with enemy spawn at night...

If there is an cursed ships, why can't there be any cursed towns/camps...

It does have me interested about what could be done.
Makes me think of the said-to-be-haunted-hospital in Antigua; maybe we could do something funny/weird with that as well. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" />
 
Myself is more interested in the discussion about BigVSLow and their different textures. That could be really nice.

Funny:

Satanist as church keeper, skeletons as civilians, mummies as city guardians, some recolors for skeleton tavern and shipyard keeper, lone shark too, some merchants at the street, walking "rich undead"... And everyone is with normal dialogues...

Only Satanist in church talks normal, and says to you, that all of them are cursed, this "city" like that is already fore ~200 years (from ~1600, first colonized city in Caribbean), and all people don't even know, that they are cursed...

There even could be some quest, given by satanist... I meen only normal human there...

and afcourse, if there could be some cursed harbor, it could be defended by some black ships... If you'll need some of black ships, note me, I'll make some recolours...

Edit: And some funny dialogue options, like : 'hey, how old are you' or 'whats the years of your born? Oh, so your are 150 years old? No, I'm not making full of you'...

yes, just use Vanderdecken as a shipyard owner
 
Location?:

A) Isla de muerta?

B) Incas temple in khel rhoa? If you go to temple, you'll have to cross it and enter to that place, where in normal storyline you find that artifact, their could be hidden entrance somewhere there (little edit location, to have doors somewhere (paintet <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />))
Afcourse in normal storyline you have to pass Incas temple 2 times, one for artifact to defeat black pearl, and another to get to the secret doors)

When you pass throe the doors, you have to pass some cave (my uploaded caves from Pirates History???), some jungle location... And you enter the town... And every time the same way ???

After that you somehow "wake up" city, and around khael rhoa appears some defending black ships... And even new nation "ghosts" or "cursed ones" or etc... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Anyway, I'd be inclined to say the town shouldn't be <i>too</i> hard to find. And, if possible, not be on one of the default places either.
We already used Khael Roa and Isla de Muerte; I'd like something new again.

At one point some work was done (and subsequently lost) on enabling the player to go to the <i>other</i> side of Falaise de Fleur, accross the bridge you see.
Maybe there could be something <i>weird</i> on that side?

Anyway, I do think we should first try and do something about that rumoured haunted hospital in Antigua port.

I was considering creating a cursed cabin and a number of cursed crewmen for a SotL of mine, (also cursed) and had two ideas/queries that I figured would be useful to mention here.

First: playing with fire. In the Maltese Knights' abbey, if you have full effects on, you kill the monks, they flame for a few seconds. Is there any way to mod characters that are permanently on fire? I was thinking along the lines of charred skeletons, demons, etc. to add variety to the cursed citizenry.

Second: Candles. I'm going to fool around with locators and try placing candle flames at random in a room, say a dark cabin or a church; kinda like tongues of flame floating in mid- air. Will attempt this in the next few days and post results.


Ps. the build is looking and playing fantastically <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" /> . Am working on cursed reskins of the indiaman, the sevenprovincien, and warship 11. Yes! 1. Fire is added attached to x,y,z locators and not attached to characters.
You might be able to achieve what you want by generating some temporary fire at the position of a character every so many seconds.
That way you'll have a character leaving a trail of temporary fire. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Allllrighty then. Here we go. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" /> I was exploring idea #2, the candles. The effects are invisible from certain angles/distances; however, i had just ten or so locators up, so adding more should solve that. Since it would be tedious to create the hundred or so candle locators individually, I'll probably end up attaching ten or so to an invisible model and just clone several of those in the same area. I'm going to try this with the Puerto Rico church next.
