As you do that, Pieter, you'll also want to set up some kind of exchange system. whereby you can make available the stuff you are currently working with, as well as the Alpha modpacks as you get them put together.

By doing that, pirate_kk and I can both be going over what you are working on. Hopefully start discussing just how things are going and how to proceed.

pirate_kk: I'm at your service good sir. Just let me know how you would like to proceed and we can speak in PM if you would like. I'll also send you over my regular e-mail address so we can more easily exchange info, files and things we need to keep under our hats, so to speak.

I suppose the easiest is to just put the files on the FTP. Everybody has access to the FTP and to WinMerge, meaning that everybody would then be able to keep track of all new changes. As soon as I get some sort of working merge between Build 13, Pirate_KK's free walk on ship mod and some other Post Build 13 mods, I will put them on the FTP or on my webspace so you can have a look at it. Or would you like me to put my non-working files on the FTP?

is it possible that something can be done about being able to walk through the wall of those new buildings? that would be absolutely great. it just bugs me having to chase NPC's through walls. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />
 
Man, I am so excited about Build 14 potential, all the new mods already being worked on sound absolutely awesome! Kudos to the modders!
 
Morgan: That will require a bit more work, involving remodelling the buildings with a way to make them really there. Currently, the way the building mod works, it creates an immobile NPC that acts as a place holder for the building. The building itself is just a mesh, without any solid existence.

It'll take a bit of work on the part of many of us to get that mod fully realized I believe.

does that mean that if the NPC in the building moves, you would have a moving building? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" /> would be funny if you would attack the NPC and that the building would dissapear. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> in fact, i think i'll try that.
 
If the NPC the building is attached to moves, the building moves as well, yes. That is why these NPCs are set to not move at all and be completely immobile. If you attack these characters, I don't think they are able to fight back. Except the characters that have cannons attached to them. If you attack these, they'll fire their cannon at you. You can try this in Oxbay port when you first get there with the shack owner.

ooh, now i'm really gonna try this. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> i i can imagine the look on jack's face when he attacks someone and he gets a cannon to fight back. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> i naver noticed that that shack guy had a cannon though. it would be a funny sight if you would see someone with a cannon on his belt like a pistol and using it like that.
