Crew weapons?

Does anyone know if the crew use weapons in that other chest in the captain's cabin like in PotC mod?

Was wondering 'cause my soldiers are currently at the "Sea dogs" level and I've definately stocked the cargo with weapons yet I sometimes see my crew use daggers in boarding battles.. just makes me shake my head at a supposedly veteran boarding boarding crew's choice in arms..

Weapons from the cabin isn't used.
But in the hold needed stocks of weapons no less than crew.
 
Well I have more weapons (cargo) than I have crew members, I just find it abit strange that experienced crew would be using daggers in boarding battles
 
your general crew just uses the generic weapon bundles you buy from the supply stores. but that means they can use any weapon in game.

your fighter officers however you can give them weapons if the weapons are better than what they got they will equip them, but you will never get them back also.

but you better stock up on them weapons bundles, they are fairly hard to find in shops and after a tough fort battle or boarding your going to need loads.
 
don't know if its a game glitch or not but my soldiers who board ships only started using swords and pistols after i equipped my fighters with good pistols and swords,before that they used daggers and got shot up and killed by guys with swords ,not any more though now they kick butt lol
 
hmm not sure i will have to play around with my fighting officers see if it makes a dif if they are geared or not.

you can get weapons back from officers if you are higher lvl than them, our fighters make nice mules <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> but be carefull not to give them potions and other consumable items hehe well, give them some tho <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
