Crashing to desktop

I'm finding some times if I'm at sea and about to go into battle, if I go into the player stats screen then passengers the game will crash to my desktop when I try to exit the passengers screen.

cannot remember this hapening with the old build when I played it or the original game too.

It can be some video driver problems,so check up for the latest updates.
I'm not a specialist in this but I suggest you to wait for CatalinaThePirate to come.
