What does the system.log say? And CTDs happen now and then. I was playing a few minutes ago and it CTDed. No good reason, it just did.

The clue is at the end. You went to an island and when POTC tried to load it, for some reason it could not. CTD!

What island? Does it do it every time you go there? You might try a good optimization and defrag. This is a fragile program so your system has to be in top notch shape to run it trouble free.
