Config.exe refusing to run

Since today apparently Config.exe has decided to refuse to run. Why? I don't know. It claims that engine.ini or the options file are missing. They are not. No matter what I do, it now refuses to run. I use Hawks engine too, and my game works just fine

It doesn't matter what files I use. Even if I use the stock game's files, it doesn't work anymore. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Maybe you need to restart your computter.I have had this same problem also, restart should
fix it. Also i think that petros´s USA "engine ini" is best and you do no really need all those
"dir path´s. I tested my "updated engine ini" and "usa engine ini" and they worked equally good.

Have you just reinstalled the game?

I've encountered the "missing options file" situation when trying to use Config.exe after a reinstallation. I start a new game, go to options and reconfigure my settings there, creating an options file and then I exit. Config.exe works after that.

Not sure if this is the same problem your experiencing, however, I hope it helps.

The strange thing is: Both files DO exist. I'll try messing with my options, but I doubt it'll do any good. I have no idea what the problem is. REAL weird. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

It's likely that the game doesn't recognize changes that have been made to the files so treats them as if they don't exist. I have no idea how to fix it.
