Hello, this is my first post but I've lurked here for a while. Forgive me if this has been addressed already; I looked for it but couldn't find anything.

I'm trying to increase my reputation with my country, so I went to the nearby church in hopes that the priest would ask me to cleanse a cave. Instead, he asked me if I could watch the church for three nights because he expected theivery afoot. I'm supposed to stay from midnight to six a.m. I always get there before midnight, but the robbers never make an appearance. Instead, a screen appears, telling me "Morning has crawled her way out of bed" (or something similar) and suddenly it's 7:05.

Is there something I should be doing to make the robbers appear? Somewhere I should stand? A few times I've gone four nights in a row (don't ask me how that happened), and they just never show up. If anyone could give me some advice I would be most thankful.
 
Keep spending nights(I spent around 5-6 because I was doing smth wrong) in church.
Don't fast travel in.
Be there before midnight.
Also, might be that you need to have time speed at 1x (not sure about that).
The robbers will come.
 
The robbers did not appear and nevertheless the quest was successful for me.
BUT - it seems the quest has some bug concerning the fast travel to the church.
What I did - fast travel to the church before 24.00, then went out through the door and renetered through the door again; at the morning I went through the door (no fast travel) and then reentered again; made this 3 nights and then talked at the 3rd morning to the priest.

to improve relationship with any nation:

clean any cave for any priest and after finishing the quest talk to the priest about it,
talk again & again & again ... > admiration.

This game is unfinished business like the ones before using storm.engine => 2.0 imo.....
 
If I remember correctly, the thing was to stay at the church and not leave at all for 3 days (it has time fast forwards, one for the night and one for the day)
