Change of FTP details (Important)

<i>As we are about to open a new AOP mod ftp we will change the current POTC ftp.</i>

Rules are.

1) All files are for public downloading.

2) All files are Pirate related

3) No full games or warez stuff

4) no porn, or even pirate porn which personally i havnt seen to much of these days but its a crazy crazy business.............or so im told

5) Thats about it

Anyways the details are

All the files have been moved over for the new folder so aprart from changing the login everything esle should be hunky dory <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />
 
ummm is anyone else not getting on the ftp?

the details in my ftp commander are as above(the other part in the ftp connection setup that isn't mentioned here are the 'Account' details which are: files@piratesahoy.org in my setup.). So not sure why when i get connected i cant see any files at all on the piratesahoy ftp!? it looks just blank?
 
Bart: The user name will depend on which set of files you are trying to get to. There is now a division on the FTP site.

If you want to get to the PotC files, then the user name should be:

potc@piratesahoy.org

If you want to get to the AOP fiels, then the user name would be:

aop@piratesahoy.org

Passwords for both sides is the same:

piratesahoy

Hope that clears up the confusion!

Change files@piratesahoy.org to potc@piratesahoy.org and see if it does work with that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />
 
ok - well i've changed nothing but got 'into' the files for the ftp this morning? Pieter i'll keep that in mind if it ever weird-outs on me again. so yeah it all works fine now <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
 
Keith has established a new FTP server so that we can exchange files again. The new access details are:

Adress Username Password
ftp.pafiles.com build@pafiles.com p1rate5ah0y
ftp.pafiles.com aop@pafiles.com p1rate5ah0y
ftp.pafiles.com potc@pafiles.com p1rate5ah0y



Thanks a lot to Keith for providing a place where we can exchange modfiles <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" /> That will help a lot to keep this community alive.

The files from the old FTP will be transfered to the new one once the uneccessary ones (those that are already in the Build) have been purged.
 
For me it works <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> But the FTP is currently still empty anyway.

BTW, is "Morgan's Music Pack" by you? Is it still needed?
 
yes and yes. i plan on finishing it and putting it back up there afterwards.

Note and clarification
this is for 3 different FTPs
first for Build mod work on POTC (assumption)
second line is for all mods related to AOP
third line is for all mods (not build specific) for POTC

Just tried and got access to the AOP FTP by using only the information in line 2
 
nope, doesn't work. i'm obviously doing some thing wrong here. should i go to ftp.pafiles.com? i tried that, but it says i can't access the file.

Most files from the old FTP have been copied to the new PotC FTP now.

If yours have not been moved don't be offended: it only means that they are already available from "better" places, like the Build or the download sections of PA or Pieter's site <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

well dangit! still doesn't work! this might be something really stupid: should it be www.ftp.pafiles.com or ftp.pafiles.com?
