Can't buy ammo?

I have plenty of free space but can't buy any type of ammo?Has anyone seen this befer?I don't have any mods installed just the stock game.

Depending upon whether the town can *spare* you the ammo, you may or may not be able to buy it. I know that sounds weird, but if the town's economy is such that they feel they need to limit sales to protect the town, they will.

You should (hopefully) be able to sail to another town and find the supplies you need there.
