build13 crash on vista ultimate

Sry if that bug is allready known, but i cant play that new build 13 in my vista ultimate. It just keep crashing in wierd locations like world map, entering first time to oxby or in loading screens. These crashs are quite random, but happens alot of time. And after crash it just dump back to desktop.

First thing I would recommend is editing POTC\Program\WorldMap\"worldmap.c" file and change:

from 0.6 to 1.0

What's with those invalid model messages in your log files? I think those might be the cause for the crash, but I have no idea why they would be invalid. <i>resource\models\fish01.gm</i> was definitly a stock game file. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
Can you please check if you actually <i>have</i> that file? Same for <i>resource\models\ships\Fleut1\Fleut1_mast4.gm</i>.
 
yes i have both of these files, fish and that mast. I have installd 2 times now game and build13, still same problem. is there any new version out? like some updates for build13full or i install build14?
 
We do have <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/9269/potc-build-mod/downloads/7321/potc-build-13-update-3-full" target="_blank">Build 13 Update 3</a> and <a href="http://www.moddb.com/mods/9269/potc-build-mod/downloads/8653/potc-build-13-final" target="_blank">Build 13 Final</a>, but I don't think these will solve your problem, because that fish model was never modified in the mod as far as I know. Can you install the stock game and see if you have any troubles with that? Specifically, can you check the log files for the stock game? I'd like to know if you get the same model errors. If so, it seems like you might have some corrupted files in your game.
 
i installed build 13 to my secondery computer where is winXP, there game is working perfectly. So i think, it is vista problem.
 
That's odd. I have Windows Vista and I can run the Build. What you could try to do is to take the proper installation from your XP machine and copy it to your Vista computer using CDs, a DVD, external hard drive or networking cable. I am wondering if perhaps Vista is interfering with the proper installation process somehow. I never did use the original game's installer on my Vista computer. I just used my zipped up original game instalation; works much easier.

i think my mistake was that. that build 13full was old version, now i installed that update 3 too and no more crashes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />. i was confused about these versions befor. like build13 full,build13 final and update. now everything is working <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Great! Build 13 Final is the same as Build 13 Full with Update 3 installed on top.
Build 14 is under development; we've got a lot of cool stuff in the works. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
