On the Build settings you got save settings. OK I save settings then close build settings. But it dont work in game the changes and I run build settings again and see its set back to what it was.

IIf you want to pay the blacksmith from your regular wealth, open up PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h and set BLACKSMITH_PAY_OUT_WEALTH to 0.

Thats what I am doing but as it dont save cant use in game lolz

Also when it's night time I go to inn and pay for a room, when I come out I hoped its now day time and shop's open but no its still night and can't get back in to room.
Is this a bug. Only I dont wont to hang around to wait for day time. Would be nice to have a clock of sorts to see the time lolz.

BTW I see in Build setting a cheat mode. Umm what are they. I dont see point of cheats in game but I dont see any readme on it.

There is a BuildSettings.exe program file in the main PotC folder. This program doesn't seem to work properly yet, so it's best you don't use it. To change the BuildSettings.h settings, open up your PROGRAM folder, then open up the BuildSettings.h file (not the .c file) with Notepad. You can manually change the settings there.

The BuildSettings program saves the settings in PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h_x, but the game reads PROGRAM\BuildSettings.h, so that's why it doesn't work. However, it seems that that program also messes up the file a bit, causing the game to crash. Inez Dias, who programmed it, is busy at the moment, but I will ask her to fix it when she has time again.

I haven't heard about that bug where the time doesn't pass in the tavern. Last time I tried, the time did pass. But it'll be checked. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

If you enable the cheatmode, you can use cheats with the numpad buttons. For example, numpad 0 is "godmode", numpad 6 is "receive money". These cheats aren't really required, but I put the cheatmode in there, because it's ruddy useful for quick testing. If you want to test what happens when you are at level 35, you simply press the level up cheat a couple of times. Saves you the trouble of having to play the game until you are level 35.

Are you sure it was night when you asked for a room, you should make sure you are getting a room for the night & not until tonight.

Hmm the directions on the page say to install the base version on top of my POTC installation. But there is no installer itself. Just where do all these files go? Some I reconize but some I have no clue where they should be installed. Isn't there a mod installer some place that can put these in the right places?

After download and unpacking, Copy and paste to where you got POTC then Run the English.bat file and answer it's questions with "y".

The english.bat in your C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean if it's same the same as mine.

You unzip them directly into your POTC Folder, the file self installs.

The file is a regular .zip file, so it doesn't self-extract. However, the folder structure inside the .zip file is just as it should be, so you can just copy the contents of the file onto your PotC installation. Easier is to download and install WinZip and use the Extract button.

I was going to try to place them myself since the english.bat wouldn't run. But after tracing back all the problems it had something to do with an old install issue. For some reason I had to un-install, clear registry, re-install, then do the install of mod, and updates. I knew the problem was in my computer someplace but just couldn't figure out what it's current malfunction was.

But now on to another problem I am having. I hired an officer at $640 but his salary is listed at over 1000. What file contains the percentage thier salary is based off of? Or exactly what is the salary based off of. In the 12 build it was always lower then what you signed them on for, so this was confusing.
