Build mod problem

Hello, I've got a problem executing the PotC build mod, I did as the readme told me to do:

Deleted all savegames and renamed the PROGRAM folder.

Installed the Build mod, restarted my computer and tried to run the game. However when i start the game i get a runtime error, "abnormal program termination".

What did I do wrong?

Okay, now I tried to use the original PROGRAM folder instead of the build one, and the game starts fine, but when I choose new game and it has loaded, I see nothing but a black screen. And when I enter the "status screen" there is a menu called error. What is wrong? I am from europe yes, but how can I make this work?

What installer did you use? There's an online and a full installtion version. Only it seems like the online installation still doesn't work totally properly with all `euro-versions`. The full installation one should work: I made it myself and it works on my UbiSoft `euro-version`. Download it from the PA! website, extract it on top of your PotC installation and after that, run the RunMe.bat in the main PotC folder. Hope that does work. Though it is quite weird you should get a runtime error when using the Build. For me, the game would run but when starting a new game, get a black screen. Thanks for your replies.. I'm gonna try the full installer once again.. Tho the first one didn't want to unpack.. :S

Can it have something to do with that I use windows zip extractor (the one that comes with xp)

Should I try winzip or something else to extract it with?

Oh well I'm dl'ing it again, so let's see whether it'll work this time. If not i'll try build 11 then 12..

The full installer is a `self-extracting` EXE file, so you don't need any program to open it. Just run the file, point it to the right directory and be done.
 
Hello!! I have a big problem. Avter I save game and load save always be "Bad Save", no matter witch version of the game POTC I play!! I apologize for the bad English!
 
Have you tried starting a new game?

What that usually means is that you just updated your POTC install and now a new game in required.
