Have a look at "Documentation\Archipelago Map.png". (You should find the "Documentation" folder within the main PoTC installation directory.)

But normally Isla Mona is closed. You can only land there if you play certain storylines. Why are you trying to go there?
 
Isla Mona is also named on the WorldMap, so not that difficult to find anymore.
On the [M]-key/F2>Inventory>Maps>Archipelago Map you do need to right-click on the two tiny islands to figure out which of the two is Isla Mona.

Of course the fact that the ingame worldmap resembles real life should make finding any islands and towns far, far simpler because you can just use Google.

The USA were added as a nation many years ago and have been available ever since.
You do need to ensure you start your game in the Revolutions or Napoleonic time period; otherwise the USA would not have existed yet.
 
Although I have trader item availability on 2nd option to not appear for low lvl.. i see a wide range of products available for sale everywhere.. barbados.. jamaica.. even the vendors in streets. Is it supposed to be this way?

I haven't a clue if that option works properly. The whole "item availability" code could do with a rewrite.
Last time I had a look at it, it seemed decidedly messy. But I don't expect that to even be started on within the next year or so.
Unless somebody new shows up who is willing to tackle it. Don't count on it though.

in tales of the sea hawk mode is it available already or not?
 
Tales of a Sea Hawk takes place in the Colonial Powers period, so no.
If you check the year that storyline is set in, you'll see that it takes place before the United States were formed.
So it wouldn't make sense if they were there.

The main storylines that do have them are Hornblower and The Gold-Bug.
And of course in Free Play you can select whatever year you want and start the game AS an American too.
There are two American pre-defined characters available there: John Paul Jones and Robert Fulton.
Though you can also customise your own American character if you prefer.

As Free Play contains every sidequest in the game, that is the best choice if you want to play with the United States.
 
I haven't played this mod for a good year, but the popular show "Black sails" got me thinking of this game again. Obviously, i was delighted when i saw the mod development was still ongoing, and the new version just released! Now i just started off with the free-roam(?) story line on the second-easiest difficulty level. The problem is, every time i board a ship around equal my ship level and size, it seems to me that i have around 2 or 3 crew members on the deck, whereas the opponent seems to have at least 7+. Because of this i die almost immediately, and i can't help but wonder; is this what's supposed to happen, or am i doing something wrong?
 
What is the morale of your crew? It also comes highly recommend to fire plenty grapeshot into your enemy to decimate their crew before boarding.
Going straight for the boarding will often not work so well, because their crew is then still ready to stand up and fight.
