Build 13!

I've been playing build 13 for nearly a week now with only one ctd, and that was probably operator error. :ty It looks like I will be finishing the main storyline soon. Are there side quests for B13? :dance

I got a little spoiled with the better models in B14, and am wondering if it is possible to retrofit some of the new eye candy into B13. For instance, the crew running around on the decks seem to be the originals in B13, while the B14 versions are much better. I also like the serving wenches in the taverns much better in B14. That is probably a code thing tho. :? About the only other things I've noticed are the sky boxes and some of the ship models. Anyhoo, is it possible? :shoot:

Why don't you simply play B14?

Since if you'll include ewerything, that is good from B14 to B13... Guess what you'll get? Another B14 ...

Why to waist time?

In the main storyline ( nathaniel hawk ) Most of the side quests in Build 14 are in Build 13 - some of the Bartolomeu ones might not be there but I think all the rest should be :ixi

miklkit had been trying to play Build 14 :yes

- but had a LOT of problems with CTD and other things ( see his various posts in bug-tracker and PotC Build Mod forum).

Good to see he has not given up on PotC entirely :drunk
 
I have already wasted months attempting to play B14. Build 14 is not an option. :2dn

It is good to know there will be new adventures in the future. :cheers
 
The better ship models might be what is causing problems to your Build 14 so I dont think that really is an option :no
 
The ship models might be causing the game to ctd every few minutes with bad fractals/tearing? :huh There is really no nice way to say this but..... Nice theory. How do you propose to verify it?

All I know is B13 has no fractal/tearing or ctds.

Well the fact is that only a couple of people have the problem and non of the main maodders (who know how to fix things) are having the problems therefore we cant do anything about it
 
I understand and accept my situation. B14 is much more advanced than B13. But 13 is my lucky number! There are some nice ships in B13. I am using those. But the ship crews are ugly. I have been looking for them in the folders without success so far, hoping to replace them with the better B14 versions. And the B13 brothel is better than the B14 versions.

I copied and pasted the info in post #1 of the FTP thread and got an error message. Never tried this ftp thingy before. What am I doing wrong?
