The shopkeepers in Redmond and Grand Cayman tell me.

What would cause them to despise a friendly privateer such as myself?

I'm flying a friendly flag, I'm low level, I have the reputation of Bloke, I havn't attacked British interests, I haven't been just cutting guys down in the streets, and I have no contraband in my holds.

I do have a prisoner in the hold though...could this be it? He's a pirate...I'd think the gov'ner would want to see him swinging on a rope.

Anyways...any clues on what the problem might be? I have my fortune tied up in a bunch of cinnamon, and a hungry crew.

try coming back to the island later. sometimes something just goes wrong.

I would try switching flag, you choose Portuguese then English again, and you adress the merchant. Some times it solves the problem. (at least on my game...) Like a kind of 'refresh' option.
