Solved Availability of Bombs (Cargo Goods)

does anyone know how to find the item Code for Bombs?
because i can't seem to find them at traders. i've heard peaple got them from forts aswell but haven't seen any from them aswell

Bombs are cargo goods, not items.

And the way to get them is indeed from forts. Go in through the land entrance - not by assaulting from the sea. (Not all forts have a land entrance. Find one which does.) Kill or avoid all the guards in an area of the fort and look for a civilian, then talk to him and tell him you mean him no harm. If you're lucky, he'll believe you. If you're really lucky, he's from Royal Ordnance - that's the one you need to find and persuade to give you bombs. There are different types of civilian, so keep trying until you find this one. Save game regularly so that you can reload if one of them calls an ambush on you or one of the guards challenges you and you get killed. And you'd better have some free cargo space to accept the bombs - in your ship, not in a companion ship.

You can also find a "floating hulk" with Bombs on it when travelling in DirectSail mode.
There are random encounters then and one of them gives you some bombs.

If you really want them, it should be possible to find a console command that gives them to you as well.
But that's cheating, of course.
