I have come to a very important conclusion. Look at ye keyboard. Look specifically at the buttons directly ter da left en da right o da spac bar. These be evil mates. Twice now they've caused crashes in ye game, and both times after successfully taking over an enemy armada o' MOW and Battleships with naught but my Lugger!

I went out to NewEgg.com and bought the Nostromo n52 contoller. No more incorrect keypresses, and I can hack me way through a whole crowd of Froggie b@stards like a hot knife through butter. Ship navigation's a breeze as well. I haven't got a good suggestion Raerlynn, but you have my unconditional sympathies, I mucked up more games of Redguard during sword fights because the alt button was the parry button, and the Ctrl, with the arrow keys, was attack, with that evil little button righ between them.

If it's any help to you, for POTC combat I switched the attack button to the "x" key, rather than the spacebar, and even though the Ctrl key is still the defense button, I rarely, if ever run afoul of the evil key.

Fred Bob, thanks! I never woulda thought of that... now if only I could repair my rep after one of my less brilliant officers thought it was a good idea to get between my MOW and the fort I was shootin'. I dropped to Horror of the high Seas so fast I blinked and missed most of the messages.
