Another boarding question, this time after they surrender

Hi gang,

How do I board a ship that has surrendered? I seem to get the boarding icon once in a while but it's not consistent and sailing over to a ship that has struck its colors doesn't bring it up. I'm using post Build 12

Click on Enter, which brings up the Open Command Icon menu, click on the boarding Icon (Grappling hook) and you should be on the ship. Hope this helps.

It may depend on the ships nationality and their relationship to you.

E.g. Sailing out of Redmond, a Dutch ship which maybe hostile to England but friendly to you is attacking the port fort, and if it strikes it's colours due to excessive fire from the fort, you wont necessarily be able to take it as a prize because you are friendly with it's nation. If you fire on it well then that may be a different story (and also change your political allignment, as well as reputation).
