Yet another indie maval game in development that I discovered thanks to Picaresque Studio's twitter account.
Abandon Ship (Fireblade Software) can best be described as FTL with ships in a fantasy setting. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of realistic sailing mechanics but the FTL-style doesn't really need them, and it looks like there's a fair amount of depth in managing the crew, using different weapons and fightong in varied enviromental conditions. I'm not the biggest fan of the blocky ship design they're going for, but the background art (waves, lighting) looks stunning, really like a pinting in movement.

TrailerIn Abandon Ship you take command of a ship and her crew, exploring a diverse, procedurally generated world, taking on quests and dealing with random events. Frequently, you will end up engaging other ships in combat, the player having to employ their best tactics in order to out-manoeuvre and out-gun the enemy.
The game focuses on “Age of Sail” ships in a Fantasy setting, framed in an Art Style inspired by classic Naval Oil Paintings.
