Sorry to be a pain guys but I have a few questions regarding the latest build. I managed to download the 'base file' enormous great handfuls of gratitude to Pieter for putting it up for download again <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
First off, I played for a round three hours straight yesterday and no bugs or ctd's except this one... after awhile I was not able to get anywhere after clearing the first deck(boarding) I was able to do it by pressing the 'r' or 'F3' keys. It did work in the same game session, infact for about 5 or so boardings. I tried reloading after a reboot but the same thing happened.
I wonder if there was a 'tweak' needed for me to excert on the build.h or something.
Oh and I almost forgot ..... Fantastic job you guys have done on the build !!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> I've only scratched the surface I think, of the many new and better features of the build, but from what I've seen is brilliant, ship combat is better, ai seems better too.
One more thing, when a ship that I'm in a battle with has struck its colours, can I still fire on it to weaken it further? not very gentleman like I know, but I was caught out a few times after boarding and got my arse kicked by some nasty men in tights! I had been focusing all my skill points on seagoing skills and consequently my swordplay was lacking a bit. Also, can I do the same, strike my colours too, and maybe lure a larger vessel which I know to be manned by fewer men than my ship, and take her?
Sorry, one more... is there the obvious benefit of 'crossing the T' am I guaranteed more carnage if I do? Sorry if this last question has simplified the wondrous things you guys have done with build, someone will get my meaning I'm sure. Thanks again.
