So of course I started in yet another project, and I figured it was about time to reveal it.
Hebe class frigate, 38 guns, 1782
Dimensions:
Length on deck: 150’1.5”
Breadth: 39’11”
Depth in hold: 12’9”
Burthen: 1062 tons
Armament:
Gun deck: 28x long 18pdrs
Quarterdeck: 14x 9pdrs
Forecastle:4-6 32pdr carronades or long 9pdrs
This design by the French naval architect J N Sane was extremely popular in its time and was virtually the standard French frigate design of the Napoleonic wars. The British captured the Hebe herself, and built the Leda class of frigates http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_f_TiAqdkqU4/S3hkjwnmIgI/AAAAAAAAA0k/Piut1XTEPRw/s1600-h/Fifth+rate+Leda+class+frigate+HMS+Pomone.jpg
to her design. Counting both French and English vessels, over a hundred frigates were built to this design.
The Hebe’s sister ship Sybille http://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections/objects/139691.html
Later French frigates built to a slightly modified design of the Hebe

I used the stern of the Hebe’s sister Proserpine(later HMS Amelia) rather than the Hebe’s because the Proserpine’s draught was as captured and had a more French stern at that time. Progress will likely be slow and intermittent because I will be getting my other ships ingame.
