Im new to this forum and i never heard of 11 build before now, can anyone tell me what it does and where i can download it?
Does is change much or is it just a patch?

The build changes...just about everything. Its not the patch, its actually better <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

I suggest you read the readme that comes with it there are way to many changes to write here

well the biggest thing i've noticed is that whenever you go back to your ship to leave port, about 50% of the time there are pirates attacking the fort. which tbh is kinda bugging me. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p2" border="0" alt="pirate3.gif" />:

Build 11 does a lot of wonderful things - it takes care of a lot of the bugs of the original game, and gives you a chance to play past the end of the main quest - also there are new ships, new characters (well new skins for both ships and characters), some of the quests which were originally locked or somehow broken are fixed, there are new things to do - the pirate island Quebradas Costillas now has a shipyard and a brothel (try and find that in a Disney game, LOL!), and there are features such as the "Vice City" mod that gives you possible danger around any corner while on shore - and "Coastraiders and Coasttraders" which gives you ship traffic all around the islands where you sail (so the seas are no longer empty). You can now buy new clothes at a tailor in any town, and there are new items to buy and sometimes the items will boost your skill levels... And if you think that's amazing, I've only just touched the surface of what is new to the game in the Build.

Build 11 makes the game so much more playable and interesting... You will enjoy it! And if you have any questions, make sure you pop back in here - and we'll try to help!

id like it too so i dont have to do it all over again.
you said new items and a tailor, does this include new weapons?
new ships are these the once that wasent unlocked in original potc,

im gona dl it now and have a good time playing it

ohh! btw does build 11 change so that you can have more ships?
or more save files???
 
Aye,ye get 40 save slots from 20, It fixes a lot of de bugs in stock version,If ye want more ships ye can download Rafe/Muddymonkey weatherd ships mod ,well worth it,and de build includes Catalinas fine werk on de retextured Xebec <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Iv begun playing now, deleted all my old files, build 11 is great!
Doesnt weatherd ships mod just reskin my boats?

Anyways iv gotten pretty far before, about to the quest to capture green ford but then a buddy of mine told me yo uneed at least 3 battle ships.......i had 1 corvete at taht time, but now theres better ships! AND! salery is easyer cause of this mod that gives yo money and items when you kill someone <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> anyhow i was wondering of you knew any way to get these good boats, the black pearl is outta the question but iv heard theres ohter special ships. are there?

I am afraid that the 10 remains the maximum skill level.

I don't think you need three battlleships to take Greenford, One would do it. On lineship, warshp or a frigate might also do it. In terms of getting good boats you need to get your rank up to sail more advanced boats, but if you have a corvette it sounds like you have done that. The best way to get the, and by far the cheapest is to capture them and swap.

Isn't the build great?

Iggly,
there's a quest that you can follow that can get you a really good frigate at the end of it. Let me know if you want a stronger hint about which quest it is. I don't think there are any other quests that give you better ships, other than the main story line after you take Greenford. Hehe id like a frigate, but im doing some what less good now i think,
I was attacked by some thugs, i killd them then there came 3 more, when i killd 2 of those the solderis stared attacking me! so i became a SWINDLER in reputation cause of my defence, nowi cant buy my wheat and rum from stores nor can i repair my ship in shipyards,
well i dident get far so im gona start over
try doing this the desent way and run if any soldiers trys to bug in <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
One more think i noticed was that thugs thend to attack you when you are talking to someone..........maybe this is a side chooseing system....if i talk to taht merchant those guys are gona kill me,
