    I am bad at fighting, too. Try to get enough money to buy a cuirass as soon as possible. Gregor Samsa often has even the gold coloured cuirass in the very beginning. This will help a lot. Also give them to your officers. Finding good swords, guns and cuirasses is really helpful in the beginning.
