Hearts of Oak: Soundtrack Friday #20 "Conquest"

After the rum we've had, there was a realization. We needed another adventure, so what were we to do? Go out on a small conquest of course! And so we did, because Mathias Hoogland didn't write this for nothing. :sparrow:ship

Discussion Confused with the Rheims backstory

Actually, CoAS did have skeletons in the dungeons. This doesn't mean it isn't related to the film in PotC, but they aren't unique to it. And anyway going by the film lore, it makes sense for the "skeletons" in dungeons to look like normal humans. Most of the time there is no moonlight there. ;)

Hearts of Oak: Soundtrack Friday #19 "Tavern Song"

It was Elizabeth again wasn't it? I got to have a few words with her.

Hearts of Oak: Soundtrack Friday #19 "Tavern Song"

Oh that's easy, it was in our bellies. :drunk What would you do with it? The water has gotten a bit murky.

Hearts of Oak: Soundtrack Friday #19 "Tavern Song"

This one comes in late, my apologies. However as they say better late than never. We now have rum! And is there better place to drink is there than a tavern? So drink away under the melody composed by Mathias Hoogland!

    Windows 11...

So you will be able to install them, but with lower security. Which personally I am fine with as this leaves the choice on the user. But they won't have updates, which makes the OS less secure? I thought the whole point of this requirements thing was security. So it would only make sense that...

DXInit The operation is not supported

Unfortunately DGvoodoo doesn't work on Sea Dogs, so unless there is another work around I think you are stuck. Maybe try playing in the default resolution and see if that works? Also even if it worked the text in menus becomes quite small on large resolutions. But perhaps someone more...

Hearts of Oak: Soundtrack Friday #18 "Out of Rum"

Oh no! It is Friday and we are "Out of Rum"! :rumgone We have to go out and get some, this deserves a fitting soundtrack! Luckily Mathias Hoogland has got us covered. :fiddler Off we go with the special compass! :sparrow

    Pirates Ahoy!: The Lost Emoticons

Ahoy there mateys! This may be something that will please older members of the community, but it should spice things up for everyone. There were a few "smilies" missing from PA!, lost in the bottom of the sea. Their entries were still there, but the image files themselves were lost. Enter the...

Need Help Game suddenly keeps crashing

Maybe deleting the options file would help? From time to time it gets corrupted and that leads to strange behavior. Could you please upload the error and compile files? Perhaps there will be some hint in there if this doesn't fix it.

Corsairs Legacy - Development blog #3: Economy / Historical pirate simulator

Mauris seem to be killing it with Corsairs Legacy. The economy of the game will be based on historical information. I don't know about you but I find this really interesting. Also in the same video there is a look into the trade menu, which also looks nice.

    Discussion Flying Dutchman origin?

From what I know it was @Pieter Boelen's and @TechnicJelle's idea. Actually Hendrick van der Decken is the Flying Dutchman's captain in the actual legend. So his name in New Horizons is a nod to that. Quite the coincidence with the Vasa designer's name. About the ship being based on the Vasa...

History of Creation The Seaward.RU Team. Interview With ALexusB

Well personally I really enjoyed COAS and TEHO. And Xebecs were a thing since at least PotC. So I guess to each his own. ;) Regardless I haven't had the chance to play the mod you are referring to, I think it is only available in Russian. As for ALexusB and COAS, he still is the founder of...

History of Creation The Seaward.RU Team. Interview With ALexusB

Ahoy ladies and gentlemen! Another video has been released on the Corsairs Legacy channel. The interview of @ALexusB has been translated to English. So this is your chance to learn more about Seaward.RU, who you may know as the creators of the Sea Dogs: City of Abandoned Ships game, and other mods.

You are welcome. Happy to see that it worked. Should you notice any other problems, like moving "slow motion" feel free to ask again. Good luck in the sea!

    Corsairs of the Mediterranean

Who is the hero and the villain you say? No one. Because on the grand scheme of things "we" all had done something. It's human nature. Things were different back then, powder monkeys were also a thing for example. The line between pirate and legal were thin. Though perhaps this is also true...

Hearts of Oak: Soundtrack Friday #17 "Pirate Cove"

It's Friday once more, and you know what this means. It's soundtrack time once more! :pflag This week it's a brief one, but oozing with adventure. A short life, but a merry one. So grab your weapons and let's sail into adventure, under the melody written by Christian Tornholm-Lehn AKA @Flannery!
