Perhaps give the agent victualier and the dockyard commisioner an extra bit of dialogue in case of personal town?

Lack of rank? Is the dialogue originally set op to work with a naval officer?

    Merchant stalls in St. John's

It worked beautifully. No street merchants and no shadows of their stalls. I once ripped the textures from the stock game and am aware, that the shadows come in a texture file, which is why, I was certain, that you could fix this. Thank you.

Perhaps give the agent victualier and the dockyard commisioner an extra bit of dialogue in case of personal town?

They have been so far. I haven't tried your solution yet. Edit: both people are a lot more welcoming. They just don't know, who I am. Is that caused by a custom name?

    Need Help Boardings

I disagree with you, islamuelle. I find the extra features and challenges much more interesting than the stock game.

Perhaps give the agent victualier and the dockyard commisioner an extra bit of dialogue in case of personal town?

You have cleverly made additions to the dialogues of the governor and the soldiers of a personal town, so the the new ruler is able to enter the fort without trouble and/or change the taxing of the town. So I'm a bit surprised, that a new ruler of St. John's is not able to use the services of...

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

Sorry. I no longer have that savegame. I only kept the one from right before, I fought the Black Pearl. Will that be of use?

    Merchant stalls in St. John's

Here are the shadows I speak of. Similar shadows appear around the other two street merchants by the walls.

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

But that was, what I chose to do! o_O I reloaded to before the conversations with Brin, handed over Silehart, accepted an English pardon and then raised the pirate flag and sunk English ships. And I still kept my title and lands. So the glitch must have happened, when I sank the first English...

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

So if I approached Brin and handed him the captured Silehart, but then refused to resume a good relation with England, I should have lost my titles and lands at the time? Then I must have encounteret some kind of glitch, because I kept them.

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

Does this mean, that a player doesn't loose their title and lands, when Silehart outlaws them in "Tales of a Sea Hawk"?

Release/ransom of a captive captain - what goes wrong here?

Sorry, but I'm almost completely uable to understand the programming language in the dialogue files. So modifications to them is way beyond me. I'm only able to modify the pure dialogue lines.

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

I have taken all English towns except Port Royale. I'd call that a rampage. :pirates So I would have to escort an English ship and then let that ship sink during a battle. Is that what I should do? Or I would have to have a bad reputation, when I ask for forgiveness? And it was because of a...

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

Maybe I'm looking for the wrong piece of dialogue. I've found the files governor.c and governor.h. But I can't figure out how to be told, that the king does never forget his enemies and get the "leave bad"-exit, which I assume is loosing my title and lands. It seems like I should crave...

Conflicting situations in a personal town - summary

Ok. As far as I'm able to tell, there are 3 potentially conflicting situations in a town, one has conquered: 1. Being recognized as a pirate by a random patrol. I have already uploaded a savegame in another thread about this. 2. Fall victim to a tavernbrawl. The brawlers stay put. And everybody...

Release/ransom of a captive captain - what goes wrong here?

Here's what I've done so far. Don't expect any more before at least the summer of 2023.

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

I've noticed, that only some of the English governors seem to have the dialogue about a player attacking ships of the governor's nation and the option of annulling the letter of marque. Is it an idea to make all governors have that dialogue? Note, I haven't checked governors of other nations.

I just had two tier 1 ships sink each other from spinning and colliding

If possible, I suggest you either: a) reduce the collision box around ships, so masts don't get calculated into the collision box or b) reduces the turn a ship does when colliding with something I came across two patrols of small ships, while my fleet contains a USA frigate, Silehart's...

Need Help After final: how do I get rid of my title and my lands?

I'm playing the Tales of a Sea Hawk and have finished the main story. Originally, I received my letter of marque by Silehart, when he drafted me into help liberating Speightstown on Barbados. I used that to get promoted enough to get the "land troops" perk and no further. Even when Silehart...

Eleuthera - more soldiers in strange places

Alice Town: these two guard the harbour, but should they have been guarding the prison? Governor's Harbour: must be annoying to have a guard shift guaranteed to give wet boots. It seems more soldiers also just stand around guarding in the town. Are they even needed? The town hall and the gate...
