    HMS Surprise

Could be the view angle, but the stand looks a bit too big compared to the wheel and the rest of the ship. Here´s the steering wheel of the Pandorra for reference: Very nice modelling, though. :)

he atolest...nice to see you here and thanks! :cat Growing :D Pc is around 30k tris now, it could be a bit lower, though (mirrored parts, redundant edge loops I kept for easier mesh editing etc). Here are some wires if you´re interested: Hows your M&B ship coming along? :)

Experimenting with a new base plank texture, I want to it to look a bit 'rougher' than the one I used on the Sphynx: Thoughts? :shrug

    La Couronne 1636

Awesome work, pgargon! I did some research, too, and the best pic I could find is in Mondfeld's 'Historic Ship Models'. But I suppose you already know about it. IIRC, it shows a man riding a horse (or some kind of seamonster?).

    HMS Agamemnon

Yup, would be a very nice ship to have in NH and the original plans are available on the NMM site. Any takers? :D

    Build 14 Completion

The movie Dauntless is a fictional version of the Victory. So we could use pgargon`s updated model with minor texture changes or wait for Kazeite to finish his really cool Santissima Trinidad and then apply a RN colour scheme. It was the ship of Sir Francis Drake when he circumnavigated the...

    Build 14 Completion

meehhhh...most of the ships are dated earlier than 1730 and this isn´t exactly my forte... The only plans available that are similiar to an early english galleon would be `Roter Löwe` and 'Golden Hind'. Should be a 'Diana' - class frigate. The terms 'light' and 'flushdeck' aren´t...

    Build 14 Completion

Where are the biggest gaps in the line-up once the VCO ships are removed? I usually don´t sail anything bigger than a 32 gun ship (well, except the Conny), so I don´t know the higher classes very well. Perhaps we could make a 'Suggested ships to build' sticky in the modelling subforum...
