I'm a young dude who grew up on LEGO Adventurers, those 12-inch GI Joe "action figures," and Grim Fandango. I have an enormous variety of interests from all sorts of video games (and, of course, pirates and other elements nautical culture) to animation and film and beyond. I'm planning on, one day, becoming an author -- my dream being to write an alternate earth-style fantasy novel inspired by a whole variety of nautical folklore, taking more from lesser-known ideas like the Klobottermann, Life-in-Death, and the Fiddler's Green, and that style of mythology as opposed to the Tolkien elves or Harryhausen giant monsters, or Zeus or Poseidon. And while it will be informed and inspired by history, I want no steampunk, no airships, no floating islands. Just sailors with their ships and maps and compasses carrying them to a golden horizon at the edge of the world.

Not that I mean to sound pretentious or anything!
