I've a couple of questions regarding women in Pirates:
- What happens when you're halfway (3 hearts or so) in conquering the heart of a governers daughter when you attack the town. Will you loose the hearts for this daughter or can you still conquer her heart (after sneaking into town)?
- What happens to your romance when you install a new governer?
- What happens after you're married and you attack the town? Does marrying make the town forgiving for your actions? Does your wife hate you?
- What happens after you're married and you install a new governer? Or is that not possible?
- I think it is wise to marry as late as possible. When you're unmarried you can still get some free gifts from women all over the carribean. Any thoughts on this?
 
If you only attack the town it doesn't matter. If you install a new
govenour the romance is zeroed.
If you're married with a dutch and you make the city spanish,
your wife will be spanish. You are married with the daughter of
a city's govenour, not with a particular woman.
I prefer to marry as soon as possible cause you always get lost city
maps from her and marriage doesn't affect your relations to other

Tipa was corrent on most accounts but not this. You cannot install a new governor in a city where your wife is. You can only sack it.

I also believe this to be the case.

I found out the hard way, could not figure out why I coud not wipe the Dutch off the map, I attacked, attacked and `re-attacked` Curacao, the last Dutch town, but I never was given the option to install a new Gov. Well, finally someone on this board asked if that was where my wife was... duh! It sure was... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />
 
The real kicker is if the Spanish take the town where your wife lives, not only is she Spanish, but you have to either attack or sneak in to see her. ANNOYING
 
I guess what you need to do is make sure you keep up that port with settlers and troops and all... Keep those nassssty furriners out! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

But it's nice to get to be married to a beautiful Spanish chickadee, and that's the only way it's ever going to happen for me. She seems to have the best cartoon cleavage out there. I swear I can see her bellybutton, and it may be pierced, I'm not sure. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" />
