    Hi there,

    I've collected some screenshots from AC, and I think these could inspire all of the terrain guys, and help them construct nice cities and environments. @Pieter Boelen said I could post the screenshots here.

    All of them are full HD.

    If we need more, or if you would like to see other buildings or a different scene, please tell me.

    Robin

    Should we perhaps note that this is from AC4 in the thread title?

    @RobinPC
    What's better than coping other games?
    Coping real life ;)

    I usualy don't look how other game studios are creating their stuff, but instead I search for reference pictures.

    But nonetheless, you've got some nice screenshots.

    For me personally it's much easier to just look at other games and get inspired. Just because those games have that 'old style' mood or something.

    Pretty much we need a town nice and small with a fairly similar look and feel and we would be good on the tech demo.

    Yup. Only problem is our lack of buildings and props and AI.

    I like the way the trees are planted along the skyline of the hills. That breaks up the lines and looks much better.

    I would suggest to be nspired from AC, but not copy it. We should give priority to real life pictures. I don;t want to make something like an improved version of AC, but a completely different game. I think this is very important.

    Sorry, but you might have misunderstood me. I mean that copying is a bad idea. What I was saying (and as Robin too) is that just inspiration is all we need. We shouldn't copy AC, because the game will look like an improvement to AC and will not have it's unique character. Sorry for being quite confusing
