SoFS English Translation

kk, I've been trying to trace this but no luck yet. Thanks again for all your input, Nosie and Captain of Black Pearl!

I want to offer my serveices in translating russian->english. I can start working (translating) only at February, cuz I got exams all January, but if u will need my help, just let me know, I would be happy to do something useful instead of drinking and sleeping 16 hours per day.

Very cool, I appreciate your offer Eob and you can just PM me here once you are clear to start helping. I've been maintaing two copies of the game on my system, the original russian version as well as my translated version.

Okay, I'll sneak a look at that one when I get a chance. Have a lot of brands in the fire right now, and one of the reasons I've slacked off on the translation is the fact that update 1.0 full of SoFS is due out any time now. So I'll have to go back through everything again to catch all the newly updated stuff. There are supposed to be new quests, new content and a ton of new changes that I won't be able to do anything about until I've got a version of it in my hands.

I'll see if its a quick fix though and if it is, I'll release a hotfix for the one file. Most likely its an error in Mr. Benson's dialog file.

Are you going to redo all your work when the next update is released?
Better use WinMerge to save all the work you already did. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I had already kind of planned just that, Pieter. But from what Kopcap was saying they are actually moving some of the file contents around as well as adding a pile of new stuff. So I'll use winmerge where I can and I'll just have to manually translate the new stuff.

I am trying to reinstall everything, does some know, where to get the latest tranlation-files and if there is a Tranlation for the sounds/voices?
 
Heya guys, it's me again.
Unfortunately, I'm still stuck with my exams for two more weeks. I'll let you know when I'm done.
P.S. All I got left is Physics and C++ Objectoriented Programming, but its enough to disable me for two weeks <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Eventually there will be work done to put a bunch of the existing PotC/AoP sound files into the mod. Right now the main thing that is being done is translation work. The translation files here plus one or two fies I've released are all availalbe on here in the forums and I believe on the FTP as well.

I'll try to get the file fixed up in a little while. Wife wants me to play some WoW with her tonight, so breaking out my Death Knight for awhile.

I'll be getting back to translation work before too long I think and I'll have a pretty major update before too long here.

Playing Cap'n Drow's translation and there's no story to it either as there are lots of Errors! Only thing different from the org or the Supermod that it's more stable! Waiting patiantly for the Cap'ns next effort!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

I just checked the FTP and all that is out there is a copy of my original 1.0 version of the translation. I've put out a request for a copy of the 1.0b translation be uploaded.

Hopefully everything will be here soon and you will be able to play the mod soon, Bacardi.

Again, I am working on things still everyone, but there are a few wrinkles to what is going on and hopefully we'll have a big announcement soon for you.
