That's indeed pretty cool.
scary as hell though. thought i was going to die ^_^
Weather doesn't do any damage, except to your ship in a storm.

Always wanted to add something in this thread ... now here we go.
Very nice screenshot!
Indeed! I like those ships far on the horizon. Gives a nice sense of scope.
Not Great Image's, just thought i would share
Those are pretty cool, actually!
- Use F9 to hide the interface when you're making screenshots; just looks nicer
- That second one has a lot of white below? What I can see looks awesome though!

What are you doing sailing the HMS Surprise in 1665??! Frigates and galleons do not mix.

It is symbolic. The new is obliterating the old.
And another one from me.
Bad things happen when sailing the open seas. Here, 2 pirate Galleons started chasing me poor Barque.
Nice timing on that cannon fire!
Aye, I just waited for her to do that. Hoped it would happen before she's hidden behind the other Gelleon ...
That sucks. You are too slow, outnumbered, and outgunned. When that happens to me I just go back to my last save rather than spend the time, sometimes real time hours, getting slowly sunk.
Aye mate, that's what I expected to happen when I first saw their flags. But this time, things arrrrr different.
They chased me, and of course gained on my quickly, and started slowly killing me. But slowly. In the meantime, we all approached Santiago, and while we were still outside of the forts firing range, there was a spanish Karrack sailing out heading towards us. That one immediately engaged the pirates. I decided to do the same, and few broadsides later, one Galleon struck colours. Few more broadsides later, me Barque at that time being down to one mast, the other one stuck colours too.
We then very slowly crept - or being towed by our boats? - to the two Galleons and took 'em over.
Sold one we did, and kept the other!
