Running it on this until I get my other PC a new mother board:

Object detail set at half
World detail set at full
Shadows and shaders turned off
800x600

Everything is very playable except for land battles which take forever. Switching screens is a little slow but not too bad.

Fred Bob jus' took de defaults given during installation which be set in me config.ini file as follers:

DisplayShadows = 1
TrilinearFiltering = 1
DisableShaders = 0
AdvancedLighting = 0
WaterDetail = 0
WorldDetail = 5
ObjectDetail = 0
IsSlowMachine = 1

So as ye kin see, many o' de fancy lighting tricks be turned off, but thangs still look purty decent. Aye, thar be a lil' bit o' choppiness in de World Map sometimes, but Fred Bob jus' be glad he kin enjoy de game whilst a PC upgrade be in de werks! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Running fine here also,apart from the painfully slow land battles, on a 7 year old
Pentium ][ 233mhz (!)
with 192 megs of ram and a 3DBlaster 4 MX460.
