Pirates Collector's Edition , what are the differences?

It includes a windows compatible verson of the original Pirates, a 9 minute "making of" movie, some concept art, sketches, etc... Plus some custom flags, sails, music, and pirate town character models. The extra flags were nice but the hippy `tie-dye` sails and pirate models aren't my taste. The new music was strange too. Not very pirate like at all.

Maaan... I really wanted that `t-shirt`... I think Atari may be selling them, they're giving them away in their contest, anyhow, and they've called them "official" shirts... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

It's on the German Atari site:

Hope this helps! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Is it completly new or additional music in the CE?

EDIT: I would like to hear more about the ingame diffrences between normal and CE Edition. Would be great!

As far as I know, normally there is no in game differences. The LE edition contains a folder of extra files you can copy into the "custom" folder of your game. There are a half dozen or so more flags and a half dozen more sail logos. The flags are cool as they are some famous pirates real flags, a couple of red privateer flags, a white surrender flag, and flags with Queen Elizabeth's face from Civ3 and Joan of Arc as well. The sail icons include the faces of a bunch of pirates, and Liz and Joan again, but with `tie-dyed` coloring. Also there are flags with some misc designs, including the Firaxis logo. There is also a special file that turns the bar wench and the bartender in pirate haven's into hippies. The music replaces some of the music files in the game with some rock tunes. Luckily you can pick and choose what files to include. I'm currently only using the extra flags. I tried the hippy pirates for a bit, as they look kinda cool, but I took them out soon as they ruined the immersion.

I'm not at home right now. Maybe someone that currently has access to their copy to give a more detailed list.

Great, thanks for the answer! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Well, hmm I guess I would also use only the flags. Good to have your own choise. I really feared he CE would be diffrent, so that there would be no need for me to buy it.

But the main reason for me to buy CE would be the map (and maybe the `T-Shirt`). But I'm not sure if it is the 10€ extra worth! Will see it tomorrow.

I made a picture of the <a href="http://mitglied.lycos.de/antares78/Sonstiges/pircont.jpg" target="_blank">european LE</a> which arrived this morning. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Three discs? I thought it was supposed to be on dvd. Or is that just the american version?
What sise is the `t-shirt`?

The game is on the two CDs and the bonus content on the DVD. Don´t ask me about the logic behind this. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I can´t imagine why they didn´t pack everything on the DVD... The shirt is of fine quality and comes in L.
